Portland BOMA scores big with great value to it's members with low
ongoing costs.
 |
Portland BOMA
needed to provide:
- marketing information
- building data for all of the commercial buildings
in the Portland metro area
- time activated event calendaring and registration
- member listing (businesses and individuals)
- members-only access to enhanced information
|
|
Rather than use a static website that would require hundreds of pages
and be a maintenance nightmare, BOMA chose Netropole to create a
database-driven, user maintainable website that featured a management
interface that would allow them to control the content of the site once
it was up. |
Netropole spent time with BOMA's technology committee
to determine requirements, timeframes, resources, and return on investment
before proceeding. We sorted through all of the good ideas, and defined a
revision one list of deliverables - features that would provide the best
return on investment for BOMA, and the best value to website users.
Netropole
then designed and implemented a database structure and management interface
that is as simple to use as it is powerful.
BOMA personnel can use the interface to add, delete, and
edit content on the website in real time from anywhere. All that they need
is an Internet connection.
BOMA Portland provides high utility for it's members at
a low cost of ownership. They decide how and when changes are made to the
site, are not reliant on any outside party, and have no recurring hard costs
of ownership. The site took a labor intensive process (registering for
events) and automated it, feeing up staff to move on to more constructive
uses of their time.
